Attempts to manage the drivers for change within current work practices, existing processes or using ‘add-in‘ approaches often delay or constrain the changes involved - until the inability to deal with the new situation or create the new changes becomes a business crisis or it creates one. Managers and staff can show marked reluctance to get engaged, involved and can often seem to find a steady stream of reasons why whatever approach being proposed won’t work.
Current ‘best practice’ for business change doesn’t seem to work that well. Nor do attempts to make it an HR/People issue or some type of add-on ‘soft process’ bolted on the side of existing business and IT projects. What is needed is something new, powerful, different - something that:
- works as an integral part of the business changes you seek to create
- gets your staff excited, involved, participating and fully engaged
- ties together the strategy, processes, value, organisation and people in a way that makes sense
- creates real understanding and ownership for the new position you’re trying to create
- creates the leadership necessary for change
- is an approach that works better by design
- creates a focus on value for both the individual and the organisation
Something that Change Engineers change in a reliable and predictable way, instead of a strategy based on hope, ‘communication’ and ‘soft soap’.
